With the popularity of cashmere products, the phenomenon of making and adulterating cashmere is common. In order to protect consumers from being deceived and improve people's ability to identify fake cashmere, the difference between real and fake cashmere and the simple identification method can be summarized as follows:
Handfeel: Real cashmere is relatively soft, while most of the fake cashmere made from fiber fibers is rougher.
Color: Real cashmere is divided into two types: white cashmere and purple cashmere. White cashmere is earthy white, with different shades of color between each piece, while most or all of the forged fiber silk ones are of the same color, and those of forged rabbit fur are bright white; purple cashmere It comes in black, gray, green, white, purple and other colors. However, after it is generally woven into fabric, it is difficult to distinguish true and false velvet by color.
Real cashmere has a particularly strong smell of sheep urine, while forged fiber silk is almost odorless except for a small amount of wool that has an odor, fake dog hair has a smell, and fake rabbit hair is almost odorless. However, cashmere products generally undergo better post-processing after being woven into them. This method cannot distinguish true and false cashmere products.
Intuitive identification: Real cashmere is extremely thin and varies in length, while forged fiber cashmere is thicker and consistent in length. Most are about 2 inches in length. After being woven into fabric, the former is delicate, light and thin, while the latter is hard and heavy.
Identification of broken wires: Pick out the wool from real cashmere, hold both ends of the velvet with both hands, and it will break with a little force, while the forged fiber strands may not break all the strands if you use a lot of force, and they are relatively strong.
Fire identification: Real cashmere becomes ashes after being burned by fire, while fake cashmere becomes gelatinous.
