Cashmere means sheep wool! ! ! Cashmere and sheep wool are both keratin in terms of chemical composition, but their organizational structure and physical properties are different.
The cashmere goat's coat is a mixed coat, that is, the coat is composed of coarse long hair and down; while the fine and semi-fine wool is composed of homogeneous fine or semi-fine wool; the local coarse wool is composed of coarse wool, two types of wool and Composition of fine hairs.
Cashmere differs from sheep wool in the following ways:
(1) Cashmere is finer than sheep wool. Cashmere is the most expensive. The fineness of cashmere in my country is 14-15 microns, which is equivalent to fine wool of 80 yarns, so cashmere can be spun into extremely thin wool fabrics.
(2) Cashmere has less bending, and the bending is irregular and irregular, and it cannot form hair strands and hair clusters like sheep's fine wool and semi-fine wool. This is due to the fact that the normal and paracortical layers in the cashmere tissue structure each account for half, while the fine and semi-fine hairs account for 60% of the positive cortex and 40% of the paracortical layer, thus forming a regular curvature of the hair fibers.
(3) The number of scales per unit length of cashmere fiber is less than that of sheep wool, the scales are longer, and the edges of the scales are tighter, which is the main reason for the strong luster and soft and smooth feel of cashmere.
(4) Cashmere is shorter than sheep wool.
(5) The oil and sweat of cashmere is lower than that of fine wool and semi-fine wool. The oil and sweat of fine hair and semi-fine hair is 25%-30%, while the oil and sweat of goat dirty hair is only 3%-4%.
(6) Cashmere is more sensitive to acid and alkali than sheep wool. When treated in the same concentration of acid or alkali solution, cashmere is more damaged than sheep wool.
